Welcome to Our Website!

OUR MISSION

To reach the people on the Amazon with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of His soon return. By first meeting their physical needs, through free medical and dental services, we hope to open the way to meet their spiritual needs (through evangelistic campaigns, educational services, etc.).

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Brazil Adventist Medical Launch is a ministry of Gospel Ministries International (GMI). GMI is a faith-based organization with a financial philosophy built on prayer and faith. No fund raising projects are undertaken, and no funds are explicitly solicited. Through this philosophy of simply making people aware of needs, and reaching out to God in prayer, GMI has successfully been in operation since 1995.

All GMI missionaries are volunteers, receiving no salary.  All volunteers have been directly called by God and have stepped out in faith, taking hold of God’s promises to provide their every need.  “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19.

OUR PARTNERS

The Brazil Adventist Medical Launch project partners with ASVAM (Ação Social Voluntária Amazônia) and with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

ASVAM is a local non-profit organization composed of volunteer professionals who, like GMI, are dedicated to restoring the Luzeiro ministry that began in the 1930’s with Leo and Jessie Halliwell. The program closed almost 10 years ago. At it’s peak, the Luzeiro ministry consisted of several boats that traversed the Amazon river, providing medical care along with the knowledge of the gospel to unreached people groups on the Amazon, thus fulfilling the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Christ’s command to, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” (Matthew 28:19,20).
