Welcome to Our Website!
OUR MISSION
To reach the people on the Amazon with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of His soon return. By first meeting their physical needs, through free medical and dental services, we hope to open the way to meet their spiritual needs (through evangelistic campaigns, educational services, etc.).
OUR PROGRAM
The Brazil Adventist Medical Launch Program, known in Brazil as Projeto Luzeiro Amazônia, is composed of volunteers who are dedicated to helping restore the Luzeiro ministry that began in the 1930′s with Leo and Jessie Halliwell.
At its peak, the Luzeiro ministry consisted of several boats that traversed the Amazon River, providing medical care along with the knowledge of the gospel to unreached people groups on the Amazon, thus fulfilling the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Christ’s command to, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” (Matthew 28:19,20). Currently our program has three boats in operation, and four operational bases (Manaus, Coari, Barreirinha, Novo Airão), each with individual coordinators.
- Luzeiro Amazônia I
- Luzeiro Amazônia II
